Toni is a Registered Psychologist with Post Graduate qualifications, including Master of Professional Psychology (UoW, 5+1) and Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degrees. Toni has a particular interest in helping adults who struggle with low self-esteem, interpersonal or family difficulties, and mild-moderate mental health vulnerability to cope more effectively with work and life stressors.  Toni, primarily utilises ‘focused psychological strategies’ and incorporates therapeutic techniques derived from a broad range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) frameworks according to the clients’ needs or preferences.

Toni is a registered general psychologist with Post Graduate qualifications, including Master of Professional Psychology (UoW, 5+1) and Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degrees. Toni has a particular interest in helping adults who struggle with low self-esteem, interpersonal or family difficulties, and mild-moderate mental health vulnerability to cope more effectively with work and life stressors. 

Toni has extensive experience working within the field of employment provider and disability service sectors, offering vocational guidance and rehabilitation support together with personal development skills training to help clients self-manage episodic or chronic mental health conditions and general functioning with activities of daily living. She has also received additional ASIST accreditation training and volunteered at Lifeline addressing suicidality and crisis intervention referral supports.

Toni works collaboratively with the client to help ascertain and clarify any unmet personal needs and to identify problematic symptoms that may be targeted for treatment planning purposes. Toni primarily utilises ‘focused psychological strategies’ and incorporates therapeutic techniques derived from a broad range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Compassion-focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) frameworks according to the clients’ needs or preferences.

She has well developed rapport building skills, incorporates active listening, unconditional positive regard, empathy, and compassion to create a safe space so clients can talk about their difficulties at a pace they feel comfortable with. She works to boost self-esteem by increasing awareness of ones’ strengths and interests, personal values, and goals. The primary aim or outcome of therapy is to enhance client wellbeing, capacity to explore personal growth, and to adapt in the face of adversity.
